Green Screen help & samples

Whether it's using a green screen or cutting out a player/person from the background (cutout as we call them) the same techniques are used, just a green screen is faster way to do a cutout.

How to cutout from background There are a lot of programs that will help you do this but if you already have Photoshop or Elements then you don't really need additional software.
1. Make a copy of the background layer If you haven't done a cutout before please see our full instructions as part of creating The Pride style of poster @ http://www.artisticactionposters.com/Pride/pride1.htm skip to step 3 if not using one of our templates.	2. Use the Magic Wand tool with a higher tolerance 50 or above (can lower if selecting too much), with Add to Selection and Contiguous selected.	Start picking with the magic wand until you have selected all the green. If you selected too much, undo and lower tolerance. Zoom in and our as needed. Once happy then go to Select > Modify > Smooth using a sample radius of about 4. Then Select > Modify > Expand of about 2. Feathering is optional, we didn't use it for this cutout. Click on Edit > Clear or hit the delete key Drag on top of new background and resize if needed.
